Code of Federal Regulationsยง 398.7Inspection and maintenance of motor vehicles.Every motor carrier shall systematically inspect and maintain or cause to be systematically maintained, all motor vehicles and their accessories subject to its control, to insure that such motor vehicles and accessories are in safe and proper operating condition.
