Subpart B - Special Rules for Household Goods Brokers

Code of Federal Regulations§ 371.103What are the definitions of terms used in this subpart? FMCSA means the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration within the U.S. Department of Transportation.Household goods has the same meaning as the term is defined in §375.103 of this subchapter.Household goods broker means a person, other than a motor carrier or an employee or bona fide agent of a motor carrier, that as a principal or agent sells, offers for sale, negotiates for, or holds itself out by solicitation, advertisement, or otherwise as selling, providing, or arranging for, transportation of household goods by motor carrier for compensation.Individual shipper has the same meaning as the term is defined in §375.103 of this subchapter.
