Notes: A single-unit truck is defined as a medium or heavy truck in which
the engine, cab, drive train, and cargo area are all on one chassis. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) implemented an enhanced methodology
for estimating registered vehicles and vehicle miles traveled by vehicle type
for the years 2007-2009. As a result, involvement rates may differ, and in some
cases significantly, from previously published rates.

Administration. PDO Crashes and Vehicles Involved: National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration, General Estimates System (GES).
