FMCSA to Hold Fourth Hours-of-Service Listening Session at Trucker Friendly Location
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) today announced it will hold a fourth public listening session on hours-of-service requirements on Thursday, January 28 in Davenport, Iowa.
The fourth listening session will take place at the Davenport Comfort Inn and Suites, which is within walking distance of a Flying J Travel Plaza and located near Iowa 80, one of the nation's largest truck stops.
The FMCSA held its first hours-of-service listening session today in Arlington, Virginia. The agency will host a second listening session in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas on January 22 and a third in Los Angeles, California on January 25.
The goal of the listening sessions is to gather a broad range of comments, ideas and relevant research as the agency prepares for rulemaking on hours-of-service requirements for property-carrying commercial drivers.
